Good questions, straight answers
Getting booked in
Can you actually fit me in today, or is it always a multi-day wait?
Same-day bookings happen regularly, it really comes down to what's already on the schedule and how urgent your job sounds, so the fastest way to find out is simply to ring.
Does it matter whether I book through a form or just pick up the phone?
Not at all, you'll reach the same team either way, priced exactly the same, so go with whichever's more convenient in the moment.
The property's rented, do I need the landlord's okay before booking?
For a minor fix, generally no, but anything more involved usually needs the property manager looped in first.

What you're actually being charged for
If the scope grows once you're actually looking at the job, does the price just change?
Never without checking with you first, any adjustment gets agreed on before it happens, and the number you originally signed off on holds unless you approve otherwise.
Say you notice something unrelated while you're already on site, does that just get added on?
No, it gets priced separately as its own item, and nothing on it starts until you've actually given the go-ahead.
My water bill's crept up and I can't pin down why, is that worth flagging?
Definitely worth a call, an unexplained rise in usage is frequently the earliest sign of a leak that hasn't shown itself anywhere visible yet.

Understanding the warranty properly
What exactly does the Lifetime Labour Warranty cover?
The labour only, any part we fit carries whatever warranty the manufacturer sets, but our own work is guaranteed indefinitely with no expiry.
If something we fixed fails again down the track, am I billed for the second visit?
Not if the cause traces back to our original work, that's precisely what the warranty is there for, no repeat invoice for our own mistake.

Getting ready for the visit
Do most repair jobs around here need council sign-off?
Rarely, unless the work touches or repositions a drainage line, and we'll always flag that possibility upfront if it's relevant to your job.
Should I do anything before the plumber shows up?
Not much is needed, though it helps if you know roughly where the water meter sits, and a clear rundown of the problem on the phone gets us most of the way there.
For a job confined to the yard, do I need to stick around?
Generally not, as long as there's clear access to where the work's happening, and we'll always ring first if we genuinely need to come inside.

Specific to this pocket of the Shire
Does response time change much depending on which street you're on?
No, the same response standard applies right across the whole patch we cover, regardless of exactly where the call's coming from.
Is a house's age a reliable indicator of what's likely to have failed?
It's a reasonable starting clue but far from certain, a well-kept older property can genuinely outlast a rushed modern renovation, so we still assess properly rather than guess from age alone.

One more worth mentioning
I've had two very different quotes for what sounds like an identical job, is that normal?
It happens more than you'd expect, usually because one of those quotes was given sight unseen, which is exactly why ours only ever follow an actual look at the job.
Still have a question?
Ring (02) 9072 0517 and a licensed plumber picks up directly, no form to complete beforehand. Getting someone out to look costs nothing, the full cost lands in writing well before any work begins, and every job carries a lifetime guarantee.
